A Bit About Myself... James Kern
To me, photography isn't about the most sculpted, or constructed “picture perfect” moment. It’s about capturing what makes that moment special - when the sun hits you just right, when you say “I do”, when you’re surrounded by loved ones.
My life in photography started with my father and his old 35mm Olympus. While backpacking, he taught me the fundamentals of shutter and aperture on the wonderful wilderness and wildlife around us. After that, I became fascinated with capturing moments: individuals making art, music, or theater, or simply enjoying each other's company.
People i've been lucky enough to work with
“James was a pleasure to work with. He showed up on time and ready to go. He asked very good questions so as to get a pulse for what the expectations were for the day. His set up was very professional and added more of a certain elegance to our wedding. Afterwards, Mr. Kern wasted no time at all in getting the photos to me. I fully recommend this service to anyone who is looking for a photographer who is reasonable on price and top notch in skills and equipment.”
