A Bit About Myself... James Kern
To me, photography isn't about the most sculpted, or constructed “picture perfect” moment. It’s about capturing what makes that moment special - when the sun hits you just right, when you say “I do”, when you’re surrounded by loved ones.
My life in photography started with my father and his old 35mm Olympus. While backpacking, he taught me the fundamentals of shutter and aperture on the wonderful wilderness and wildlife around us. After that, I became fascinated with capturing moments: individuals making art, music, or theater, or simply enjoying each other's company.
